About
I’m a high school student who’s passionate about technology and entrepreneurship.
I started coding when I was eight-years-old, and I got to visit Silicon Valley for the first time when I was nine. Ever since it’s been my dream to move there and work as a product manager—and eventually, I’d like to launch a startup there too.
For the past three years, I’ve been developing my entrepreneurial and technological skills as a freelance web and mobile developer. I started freelancing after a family friend asked for help making changes to his website. Since then, I’ve worked with a number of clients all across the United States, and as of 2017, I’m focusing on iOS and AI projects.
In addition to freelancing, I’m also very involved with the Entrepreneur Club at my school. I was elected vice president in my freshman year, and since then I’ve enjoyed working with the other club officers and members to expand the club as a whole and to execute upon its mission and vision.
I genuinely want to make the world a better place, and the way I want to do this is by helping people “move to the beat of their own drum.” What I mean when I say this is I want to help people live lives where they have the knowledge and the freedom to do the things they are passionate about. With this goal in mind, last July, I created and taught a business basics class to at-risk, middle school students through the Berkeley Academy. By the end of the course, the students realized either business is something they are really interested in and want to learn more about, or they realized that business isn’t something they really enjoy. I think helping people find and enabling them to pursue their passions is one of the best ways to make the world a better place, and I intend to keep this in mind throughout my life.
As for my personal interests, I think philosophy, politics, and economics are fascinating. I really enjoy writing, drawing, and messing around with new technologies. I also appreciate good design, architecture, and coffee.
